Erica and Bennett started off their morning in the tipi. Afterwards they got out the basket of cars and made all kinds of engine noises as they played. Bennett even had a few engine songs to share. Chloe and Keira used the puzzles together and then dug their hands into the play dough and Rock used the writing center.
Although the Oregon rain was pouring we headed outside for fresh air. Rock was at the head of the pack as we all did some much needed running. Afterwards, Bennett became a police car, Collin a fire truck and Chloe and Keira were kitties. Cooper, Isabel, Oscar and Erica were all super cheetahs (of course) with fire. Mila, Eliana and Seren opted to be themselves and imagined up a bear hunt.
We headed inside and utilized upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs, Cooper and Collin used the cars. Eliana became a kitty who lived on a farm with a girl named Erica. Erica loved to play with her kitty and throw balls for her to play with. (Kitty Eliana was pretty crafty with the duplos too.) Keira and Bennett dressed up in costumes, got married and got busy cooking and caring for the babies in the kitchen. When asked why they had to get married, Keira responded matter-of-factly, “Because we are the mommy and daddy of the babies.” Cooper and Isabel lived at the zoo. Cooper was a woodpecker who talked with other animals and humans to let them know what animals he liked.
Upstairs Chloe, Mila, Oscar, Zach, Seren, Isabel, Cooper, Erica and Rock rocked out to the Beach Boys as they used the cars and Writing Center. We had music with Carolyn and sang about turkeys and “the fat lady who swallows lots of things.”
