This morning, Cyrus and Lewis arrived and began building with blocks. The boys built sky scrapers, landing pads and garages. It didn’t take the two boys long to abandon their newly built city and begin flying their airplanes around the preschool. The two pilots whizzed by Chloe who had turned into a pink kitty. The kitty busily kneaded play dough while Keira tinkered with some blocks at the table. Rachel arrived and helped Keira piece together a puzzle. The two chatted incessantly as they worked. When Cameron walked through the door, he sought out Anke and began telling her a story before he headed for the writing center to work on a picture for his brother, Emmett.

Outside, Chloe asked Katie if she could have a pink sword. Chloe helped Katie pick out the perfect paper for her sword. After Katie had rolled and given Chloe her sword, the children noticed her waving it around. This, of course, led to a paper sword demand. Every child ran around the yard waving their pink paper swords. Cameron put the slide to good use while Rachel and Keira were super cheetahs. The girls fully embraced their inner super cheetahs as they raced around hunting for their meal or snarling at (invisible) unwelcome guests. It wasn’t too long before the rain started to fall and the kids started to voice that they’d rather be inside.

Upstairs, Cyrus, Nate and Cameron built with the Legos while Oscar played guitar at a picnic that Eliana, Seren, Chloe and Mila were hosting. The picnic setup was quite extravagant; the girls had blocked off the designated picnic area with stools and chairs. Eliana laid down a few blankets while Seren set up flowers in the middle of them. Mila asked her teachers to put in the Beach Boys while they finished setting up their impressive picnic display.

At the table, Rachel and Hadley built space ships with the magnetic shapes while Cyrus, Nate and Cameron moved on from the Legos and, instead, worked at the writing center. The boys colored and cut for a while before they decided it best to play with the blocks and cars.

Have a good night!
