This morning the Big House was full of hustle and bustle. The friends were exploring the many toys that Anke had out for them. Riley chose to work on some shape puzzles, turning the pieces carefully to find which ones fit. Emma and Bronwen sat with their friend Riley to work through some shape puzzles of their own. Then, it was time for magnets! Emma and Vivian excitedly got them out. Alex thought those magnets looked very fun, so he joined in with the girls. Dean also joined the fun with magnets, and then added some cars to the mix. Ella O. found a helicopter among the cars and had it flying through the air. Rhys sat nearby at the writing center and practiced his skills with the paper and markers.
Out in the front, Bronwen and Ben slipped down the slide with a zoom. Ava took a turn on the slide, then her friend Riley appeared at the top of the slide to try it too. Vivian, Emma, Alex, Dean, Maddy, and Cole were having a ball on the bike path. They really made quite a crew! Ella O. hopped on a bike and pedaled with the group. Anthony tackled the rock wall without any help and crawled right up it. Way to go, Anthony!!
In the back, the spaghetti was flying as Ben, Cole, Alex, Ella O., and Maddy put their scissor skills to good use. They snipped and cut the slippery noodles into tiny bits. While he was working, Ben told Anke, “I am making dinner.” Alex carefully prepared his spaghetti and shared it with his friends. Maddy and Cole completed their cutting and joined their friends Anthony, Vivian, and Dean in the sandbox. The group combined water with the sand as they worked away, pouring and scooping, scooping and pouring.
Our artists also made some masterpieces today. Ella O. was at the big easel adding yellow paint to her paper. Ava was at the hot gluing station experimenting with various supplies for some fantastic creations.
