Dean and Cameron were the first friends on the scene this morning. The legos were looking pretty enticing, so the boys each got a pile and started building. Alex got in the mix with some cars. Cam built a boat first, and then built himself a house to go with it. Dean made a boat as well and decided to make it into a paddleboat. He made a paddle seat for his boat. “Look! I made this paddle seat!” he said. “You put your feet right here and then paddle with your feet.”
As they worked, the boys could hear some sweet singing coming from the art room. Ella O. was at work with the paint! She had shaving cream, paint, and glitter combined! Not only was it a delightful painting experience, but she truly had an impressive piece of art when she was done.
After some morning work, a little breakfast, and some singing, the group moved to the front. On the bridge, Maddy and Cam were playing house. They were excellent parents and took care of their little home as the bikes zoomed by on the bike path. Collin, Ella, and Dean were racing along on their bikes. Ella happened upon a ball and promptly turned it into a grape pie! In between races, Ella shared her grape pie with her other biking friends.
Ella O. hopped on a bike as well and pedaled all over. Next Ella ran over to the slide! Camille and Ava were there having a wonderful time on the slide. Ella O. joined in with her friends and slid down the slide over and over again. Anthony, Ben, and Riley also wanted to get some time in on the slide. They shared the space with their friends and took their turns slipping down the slide.
In the back, the shaving cream made another appearance! Dean and Vivian dove right in, squishing and spreading the fluffy shaving cream until it was completely smooth. Next, they went down the steps and experimented with the water pouring. As they passed the hot gluing table, Cam and Maddy were there, working away. They combined flowers and beads into beautiful creations. Collin, Ella, and Ava were also working very carefully as they practiced their cutting skills with the scissors. Ben and Riley were also on the deck working on their paintings.
