This morning Dean was busy in the art room. Ella O. was also using her artistic skills. She chose to create a painting first, then moved to the play dough. We read a book called “The Pigeon Wants a Puppy.” The story was a huge hit and everyone loved it! Cameron and Maddy were at the writing center, doing kindergarten work. The two also helped Cecy set the table for breakfast and took their job very seriously. They were very careful as they placed each napkin and utensil, but even more careful with the bowls of applesauce!
After breakfast, the group practiced some of their favorite songs in the locker room. Even though there were still a few clouds outside, the locker room was a sunny, happy place. The room was filled with voices in a rousing rendition of The Pirate Song.
The group then headed out front, where Vivian, Ava, and Ella ran straight to the balls. Today those balls were actually eggs! The girls took their giant eggs camping in the big tower. Rhys, Maddy, Ben, Cole, and Cam passed the big tower on their way to the bike path. The group zoomed around, full of energy. Kaito joined in the fun and hopped on the trailer bike. He gave rides to Dean first, then to Ella O. Collin and Anthony were also on the bike path, but they were on foot. They ran themselves silly! Riley also ran along with her friends, once in a while taking breaks for a few happy trips down the slide.
In the back, the sandbox was being put to good use by some very creative children. Anthony, Ella O., Bronwen, Alex, and Rhys jumped in the giant sandbox and set to work. They used their tools to scoop and pour just like professionals. Vivian, Cam, Cole, Ella, and Kaito saw the party in the sandbox and ran over to join in with some construction of their own.
Dean and Ella O. teamed up for some art work again, this time at the big easel. Riley also worked at painting at the easel on the deck. Meanwhile, Maddy, Collin, Ava, Dean and Ben chose to get things flowing at the water pouring area. They splashed and poured, watching the sunshine play off the water and listening to the gurgling and splashing sounds they could create.
Have a fantastic evening!!
