This morning we started out with experimenting with colors! In the art room, Turner and Riley found red and yellow paint with paper and brushes waiting for them. They pushed up their sleeves and began their masterpieces. The red and yellow swirled together to create beautiful shades of orange! Alex and Asha found more supplies waiting for them: pipe cleaners and beads of all colors. The two worked side by side creating magnificent wreaths with carefully chosen beads. Dean took a turn at the hot glue station with Vivian and Ben. Then he moved with the group to the writing center for some work on their writing skills.

Some of the friends had other interests this morning. Maddy and Cameron saw the house was empty, so they moved in and spruced things up. Riley and Camille came by to say hello as they took the babies for a walk. Braeden was nearby on the rug with the blocks. He carefully crafted a freeway, then chose just the right cars to zoom along the road.

Outside, it was sunny, but very brisk! The friends got their blood pumping with lots of running through the fresh, chilly air. Turner was determined to conquer the rock, climbing wall. He kept at it, with support from Anke, and soon he had climbed all the way up! “I climbed the wall!!” he shouted proudly. Asha was next to scale the wall and slide down the slide with her arms in the air.

After a little while, the group moved inside. Asha and Camille headed for the art room and got to painting right away. Cameron and Maddy practiced their scissor skills to cut beautiful pictures from a few of the writing center magazines. Ava noticed the wreath-making supplies and started in on her very own wreath.

Braeden, Alex, and Ben were the first of the group to head downstairs. They picked out the train tracks and created their own train station. Riley joined in and added her own section to the station. Vivian and Dean went for the table hockey and had a blast together. Bronwen and Camille were in the kitchen cooking up a storm for the hungry hockey players. Turner made his way downstairs and got to know George the giraffe. Cameron and Maddy joined the cooking party, while Ava and Dean started making a campfire. Dean had to leave suddenly for another adventure on George the giraffe. As he rode away, Camille pitched in and helped out the campers with their camping supplies.

Have a fantastic evening!
