This morning our friends were having a blast being creative. Riley chose to work at the writing center and drew a picture for her mama. Elsa went first to the art room where she found the paint and some fun dog toys to use for paintbrushes. Next, she added glitter to make her masterpiece even more interesting. Riley and Vivian were next in the art room, as Vivian arrived and Riley gave her a giant welcome hug. Asha headed to the writing center to work on her own picture. There were big smiles all around as the friends were so happy to see each other and get started on their new day at school.

Once she had completed her painting, Elsa moved to the animal rescue station. Cameron came along with Elsa and they helped each other take care of the animals. Cameron gently brushed the bunnies’ fur first, to help them relax. Then, he gave them each a flu shot and covered them with Band-Aids. Elsa’s work there was done, so she moved to the table to work with Camille. The girls took turns working with the counting pegs.

Out in the front yard, there were all kinds of exciting things happening. Anthony was running up and down the hill on the bike path with a smile. He had a lot of energy and running sure felt wonderful. Camille and Vivian zoomed by on bikes. Vivian was giving her friend Camille a ride! They were beautiful mermaids who really loved to bike. Collin was also on a bike as he came speedily around the track being a fire truck. Alex was also ready to get moving. He grabbed the purple ball and announced that he was playing football. Ben kicked the big blue ball with a mighty kick! He ran after it and gave a few more good kicks. Riley ran by and made her way to the slide. Elsa was close after her and had a wonderful time taking her own turns down the slide, then climbing the ladder carefully back up to the top. Ella Jude joined in the fun on the slide as well, taking breaks to peek through the fence at our little neighborhood.

Ella was working on her cookie business. Ben helped with baking the homemade cookies. By the time most of the cookies had been passed out, strawberry was the only flavor left. Asha was a princess who loved cookies. Maddy and Cameron weren’t as interested in cookies because they were on a journey. They were Frodo and Sam taking on grand adventures.

In the back, Asha and Ella Jude were working together at the big easel. Emma and Alex were also painting, but they were using the golf balls to make amazing patterns on their papers. Alex folded his paper with the wet paint inside, and re-opened it to find a beautiful design. “I made a butterfly!” he exclaimed. Anthony walked by and made his way to the sandbox. He found the big truck and filled it to the brim! Vivian and Collin were on the hunt for treasure in the sandbox. Ella Jude joined in as the trio grabbed shovels and set to uncovering treasures. Maddy and Cameron jumped into the sandbox as well and gathered supplies for making a big pot of soup to share.

Part of the crew headed to the lower level where they were also working on cooking projects. Riley was whipping up some delicious lollipops for her friends. Banana lollipops are her specialty. Vivian, Camille, Asha, and Emma were getting ready for picnic time. They sang as they worked, “It’s picnic time! It’s picnic time! It’s time for a picnic!” Asha cooked up the food while Emma changed into her princess gown for the picnic.

Have a wonderful evening!
