What a morning! Cameron and Dean were busy with magnets, building and creating, then tearing them down to start again. Cameron moved to the hot glue station where he found some unsuspecting poof balls. In a jiffy the poof balls had be formed into a majestic castle! Next, he and Maddy used to hot glue to decorate some bugs. Vivian was also finding creative uses for ordinary things. She found the paint and the colored sand in the art room. On her paper, the sand became fairy dust! She sprinkled it delicately and added touches of orange paint to complete the picture. As soon as her masterpiece was complete, Vivian moved to the puzzles and picked out the Dora puzzle to complete all by herself!
Our new friend Braeden walked through the door this morning for his first day. He and Dean appear to be two peas in a pod. They took to the cars and blocks right away and knew just what to do. After finishing up with the cars, Braeden took a look around the Big House. He spotted the fish and counted each of them out loud.
In the front, Cam and Maddy made a great team. They used the tires and cones to construct a fabulous house! Their household had three babies so they kept very busy adding on to their house and taking care of all those babies. Dean was also building. He made a very, very tall house. This house was extremely rare because it had five roofs! Dean had more houses to build, so Bronwen climbed up top in the tower and drove the house around while he built.
We had some beautiful mermaids in the group today. Emma, Riley, and Vivian were delightful mermaids swimming along and taking on new adventures together. Ava and Ella were having amazing adventures being batgirls, while Collin joined in with them to save the world as batman. Alex and Braeden were taking flight as they played. Alex was a speedy airplane boy, while Braeden chose to be a helicopter boy and flew through the air with ease. With all the vehicles flying around, there was also a train that joined in. Anthony, Maddy, Cameron, Ella, and Ava made a long train with Anke as the engine. They chugged around the yard with more giggles than “choo-choo’s.”
Part of the group came in for some time downstairs. Emma and Bronwen got to cooking and whipped up some fantastic apple crisp. Next, they made some breakfast to share, and Emma went up to the loft to make a cupcake. Braeden was in the loft as well using the plastic chain links for his own game. Anthony joined the bunch in the loft for a bite of breakfast. Alex and Ben were down below working on a building a completely new town. This town also had its own railroad, and the tracks went everywhere throughout the town. Riley added to the town with a few blocks and plenty of cars to zoom through. Braeden decided to check out the cars as well and joined in with Riley.
The friends upstairs were busy as well. Ava and Vivian took to the puzzles and put together all of them! Ella was being a mommy, and Collin was being a daddy. They worked together to take care of the babies. Cameron and Maddy were just around the corner in art room working with the clay. They were making power with the clay to keep their friends safe and the bad guys away.
