This morning the crew at the Big House started off with Maddy and Vivian. They hustled over to the hot gluing station in the art room and put their creative skills together. They created a magnificent jar for Vivian, completed with very fancy decorations. Alex came in and headed for the counting blocks. He counted and stacked with enthusiasm! Ella Jude, Anthony, and Elsa were also in the art room but they were using the paint. Asha joined the group as they added fluffy shaving cream to their paint for some fantastic orange, fluffy paintings. Riley and Camille decided to pass on the art room at first, because there were babies to be taken care of. Emma was also ready to get to work so she helped out at the animal rescue stations. A poor bear was in need of some tender care and Emma was just the lady for the job.
Out in front, Anthony got the party hopping by starting a dance party! He danced all over the yard, then got to running! Asha, Elsa, and Emma were also ready to run. They came our front and organized some very speedy running races. Ella Jude saw what fun they were having and decided to join in the races. After reaching the finish line, the group of speedy girls went for a victory lap down the slide.
Maddy and Collin were thinking big out in the yard. They created an entire galaxy! Together they gathered the big balls, tires, and cones to construct this special galaxy made “for mouses!” Ella, Vivian, and Camille grabbed a towel and draped it over the tree. Their creation was also for our animal friends; they wanted to make a soft spot for the animals in the trees so they wouldn’t get scratched up. Everyone agreed the whole thing was hilarious.
In the back, the bikes were all being put to good use. Riley and Cameron were taking turns with the scooter, while Maddy gave rides on the trailer bike. Alex and Ben joined in and hopped on their own bikes for a few laps. Collin was on a small, but speedy, bike. The bike path was a blur! Emma was the monitor for our bike path today. She kept a close eye in case anyone needed a hand.
Up on the deck, Elsa was getting into the shaving cream painting! Ella was also getting creative at the hot gluing station. She created a music player using the hot glue, beads, and containers of all shapes and sizes. Anthony walked past the hot glue station and down the stairs to the water station. Alex and Ella Jude were there having a blast. Ella Jude moved over to the big easel and got to cleaning it with the giant squeegee. Anthony and Alex poured and scooped a few buckets together, then Anthony moved on to the sandbox. Ben, Asha, and Camille were cooking up a storm! They first made a handsome batch of mud pie, complete with tons of chocolate.
