This morning, Cameron got started with cutting strips for our paper chains that we are currently working on. Vivian decided to get involved and help Cameron out. Riley also come over, chose some scissors and got to cutting. As the friends busily cut out strips, Ella O. strolled by with the baby, taking him for a morning walk and watching group working away. Riley halted her work when she noticed her friend Emma arrive at school. Riley hurried over and gave Emma a great big morning hug. She and Emma then walked past Maddy and Cam who were making the tallest building possible! They worked together to place the blocks carefully to make their wonderful creation. Emma checked out the building, and then went to create a necklace for herself. Cole worked nearby with the playdough with much concentration.
We also used our words today! Anthony in particular was a shining star when he came in this morning. He asked Anke very politely saying, “Music, please. Dance, please.” Anke was happy to get the tunes going and soon there was a good morning dance party in the Big House!
On the bike path, Cole was giving Cameron and Maddy a ride on the trailer bike. The group was in need of groceries, so they went together to the store with the help of their driver, Cole. Collin also joined the trip and they made a stop at the Halloween store to buy costumes. They weren’t the only group on the move! Rhys hopped on a bike and headed to “a mama.” Vivian was going to the beach to visit her friends, so she took a turn with the trailer bike and gave Collin a ride, since she was passing that way. Ella was very excited to be going to a festival as she pedaled away on her bike. Ella O. made the rounds to everyone while they were getting ready to go on their trips and offered hugs. She also gave hugs to her teachers and any other friends who wanted one…or two. Alex was nearby making ice cream to offer to his friends. His ice cream was so fantastic, that he sold it all!
Over by the tower, Dean and Bronwen were climbing up the rock wall using their strong arms and legs. Once they got to the top, they slid down the slide with grins on and ran back around to take on the rock wall again. Emma and Ava were under the slide playing periwinkles. They fixed the cones to be just where they needed them, and then also took turns being Ariel.
Anthony and Riley invented a new game: human merry-go-round! Cecy was happy to play and made a fine merry-go-round. Anthony and Riley each took a hand and around they went! The result was plenty of smiles, giggling, and only a slightly dizzy Cecy. After plenty of circling, Anthony joined Ella, Ava, and Vivian for some crazy towel games! The group shook the towel up and down fiercely, while Ella O. tossed the green ball on top. It bounced up and down like popcorn until it popped right off! Ella O. happily replaced the ball while her friends continued to make the towel dance.
In the back, Maddy and Cameron were in the sandbox, so Riley climbed in herself to join in the fun. The trio made cakes of all colors: brown, yellow, pink, and many more! Ava, Emma, and Vivian were also cooking, but they took their pots and pans outside the bike house as they worked. Cole, Collin, and Dean were busy pouring water nearby.
On the deck, golf ball painting was very popular. Rhys, Anthony, and Alex led the way and worked on their masterpieces. The beautiful patterns they made were just as delightful to see as to make!
Have a fantastic evening!
