Riley and Dean marched into school this morning and the first thing they saw were the paint scrapers! They hustled over to the art room and started working on their paintings with the unusual tools. After finishing his painting, Dean got creative with the cars and blocks. He had a blast setting up his own town as he greeted Vivian who had just arrived. Riley also finished her painting and headed for the writing center. More friends arrived and got busy. Rhys made several important and happy phone calls using the rotary phone. He carefully spun the dial as he chose the numbers he wanted to use. Emma created beautiful paper chains as she settled into her morning. Anthony and Ella O. really embraced their morning joyfully as they danced together to some happy music.
The bike path was a blur as Maddy, Cam, Rhys, and Vivian hopped on bikes and made quick laps on the track. Dean and Collin also got into the fun and pedaled their bikes with the herd. The group was awfully speedy, but they still made sure to wait for friends who had to take a breather or who needed some help getting over the hill.
Emma and Ava found the big blue ball and couldn’t resist bouncing it back and forth to each other, then bouncing down the path after it when it got away! Anthony also rolled and bounced a ball with the girls, but he added a towel to his game! He bounced the ball with the towel covering it, then shook the towel all over! Camille sped down the slide, avoiding the balls with skill and laughing at her friends’ games.
In the back a whole crew was painting. Anthony showed amazing concentration as he worked side-by-side with Ella, Vivian, and Emma. The group had a wonderful time using the blue and white paint, but it was even more exciting to add shaving cream!! Vivian sang a song as the group covered their papers, the table, and themselves. Ella O. worked on her masterpiece nearby at the big easel. Alex started out with painting, and then moved to water pouring with Anthony.
In the sandbox, Riley and Camille were making a great team. Riley was working on a digging project, and Camille lent her a helping hand. Maddy and Cam also teamed up to cook up a delicious storm of muck. Dean supervised the hard work going on as he went back and forth between the house and the sandbox.
A few friends were on the bike path. Rhys chose his favorite bike and took a joy ride around the track with a huge smile on his face. Ava and Collin were on the bike path and the bench nearby, but they were working on a special project. They were using some of the lemon balm twigs from the garden to make lemonade. Collin told Anke, “You put some sticks, then you holded it and then you smelled your hands afterward and they smelled like lemonade!”
Enjoy your evening!
