This morning, Dean came in ready to work! He grabbed a few markers at the writing center and set to it. He said, “I am drawing a circle.” After practicing his circles and a few other shapes, moved to the black carpet. The building that Maddy built last night really caught his attention. He picked the cars and blocks he wanted, red and green cars, and added on to Maddy’s creation, filling the black carpet with a new city. He also picked out cars for his friends so they could join in. Alex also did some building with Dean. Together they built some tall, tall towers with the legos.
Asha and Camille saw the writing center was available, so they walked over together and got out their favorite stickers. They also shared the markers as they created some wonderful work. Asha sang a few songs as she worked. Ella O. was also working creatively. She was using paint and glue together in the art room. Vivian joined in with Ella O. and painted as well. Riley also got in on the painting fun. She even stepped it up a notch by adding glitter to her work!
The salon was Cole’s first choice this morning. He worked busily setting up shop and working on his technique. After his work was done there, Cole moved to the playdough we made this week and put our playdough tools to good use.
Out in front the group was busy as usual! Asha and Ella O. climbed up the rock wall, then slid down the slide with glee. Maddy and Ava were in the house taking care of their family. Alex and Camille were just outside the house playing a game with the cones, taking turns moving them into different positions and different spots in the yard. Riley walked all around among the cones and even turned into a rocket ship as she played along.
The crew on the bike path was Dean, Rhys, Vivian, and Cole. They hopped on their bikes and were off, speeding around the path, up and over the hill. Ben and Bronwen were nearby watching and playing a jumping game as their friends pedaled by.
In the back Ben, Ella O., Dean, Alex, and Rhys were having a blast with shaving cream painting. They squished and smeared the cream to make beautiful patterns on their papers. Ava and Maddy were also being creative at the hot glue station as they chatted away. Camille and Bronwen ran over to the sandbox and couldn’t wait to get started with their work. As they ran by, Cole, Vivian, Ava, and Maddy were working on water, pouring and splashing together. The group then moved and joined Riley at the big easel for a rousing round of group painting.
Enjoy the weekend!
