This morning Riley and Dean started off their morning by fixing up Anke’s and Vivian’s hair at our very own hair salon. They paid very close attention to detail as they worked. Dean even used three combs to complete his masterpiece! Ella O. also headed straight for the salon when she came in and started working away.
The creativity continued into the art room as Riley and Bronwen arrived. Dean, Riley, Bronwen and Vivian used tape with their painting today to create some very special art. The group practiced making every shape they could think of with the tape on their papers, then added paint for some pizzazz! Yesterday the group made playdough together! Today Asha and Camille really put the new playdough to good use. Dean and Vivian joined in the fun as well, using the tools and their hands to build and create.
Out in front Ella O. and Ben got their leg muscles working while playing a game with Cecy; they were taking giant steps, taking turns and making their steps bigger with each turn. On the bike path Rhys and Cole were getting their legs going as well as they pedaled around the path. Vivian and Dean saw what fun they were having and ran over to join them. They each picked a bike and they were off!
On the slide, Asha and Camille were having a wonderful time together. They took turns climbing up the ladder, then sliding down with glee. As they slid down again and again, they spotted some super heroes on the move! Alex and Anthony were flying around and being super! They flew all over the yard, keeping their friends safe. Maddy and Ava were also flying around the yard, but they were periwinkle fairies! Bronwen joined in with the beautiful fairies in a magical fairy game.
Carolyn came and sang songs with the group today! She brought a big bag full of musical instruments and each child got to choose their own. The group sang and clapped, played tambourines and shook shakers, and had a fabulous time!
