This morning, Camille and Riley took great care in tending to the babies. They cooked wonderful meals for them, tucked them in gently with blankets and kept them nearby. Asha walked past the kitchen and pulled a chair up to the writing center. She decided to make herself a rainbow! Ella Jude was also getting creative, but she was in the art room. She found the paints and some silly dog toys to create her own art piece. Alex came in and inspected the back deck. Rhys and Cameron came in and set to work with such focus this morning. Rhys had the magnetic shapes and Cameron was making a spaceship with Lego’s. Ben, the Amtrak traveler, came in and joined in with Cameron for some building with Lego’s. Another dance party was also needed to get the morning started right. Vivian lead the group in a few smooth moves. After the dance party, Emma was the first friend to break out the play dough. She set to work on a cooking adventure and came up with a beautiful cake for Anke that had eggs in it!
In the front, Ella Jude and Ella O. were our queens of the slide. With triumphant grins they owned that slippery slide! They even added flair as they whizzed by with animal noises from the farm. Over on the bike path there seemed to be an echo as Rhys pedaled by and contributed his own farm animal sounds. Riley and Asha were busy as well, running together and bunny hopping along. Ben was running speedily past the girls when he informed Anke, “I am a cheetah!” Camille was at the tires, practicing her obstacle course skills. She jumped in and out, giggling all the way.
A birthday party was being thrown in the house. Ella and Emma were busy with preparations. Alex helped out by gathering cones for them to use. Just outside the house, Ben ran by having a giggle-fit and Anthony followed. They jumped up and down with Anke. Then, they joined hands and sang songs together with Camille, starting with “We Jump in a Puddle.” After the singing, Anthony and Ben spotted the big blue ball and worked together to kick it through the black tube, which ended up being hilarious!
In the back, Cameron, Ella, and Collin were having a wonderful time working on art while having a chat about life, plans for later in the day and what they would like to play. The pictures they made were for their mommies and daddies. Anthony, Rhys, Asha, Ben and Camille were also working on art as they moved between taking turns at the big easel and having a blast at the water pouring station. Rhys was making soup on his picture, while Ben shared, “Look at my hands!” as he squished and spread the fluffy shaving cream. Camille was painting a window and then cleaning it carefully. Anthony’s masterpiece was of a lake. Asha’s wonderful painting was made with extra love for her mama. Vivian’s art was also for her mom, but she decided to use the supplies at the hot glue station. Her creation was a square!
Have a fantastic evening!
