This morning we had a special visitor that we haven’t seen for quite awhile! Bennett was here! He made a special house for his big truck. Asha and Camille went straight to the writing center. They were on a mission to “make rainbows.” Rhys was nearby at the bean station pouring and scooping the beans. Riley was hard at work on a special puzzle with many different shapes. Once she finished up, she saw Dean working on a long road for the cars. He made it so long that there was even room for the animals to use the road! Riley pitched in with the building project in between greeting her friends as they arrived. Cole was also building, but he was using the Lego’s and a few small blocks. Anthony built his own slide with a few of the very long blocks. He leaned them up against the block table very carefully and picked out some cars to zoom down the slide.
In the front, Ella O., Camille, Asha, and Bronwen were taking turns sliding down the slide with arms in the air! Anthony also took turns on the slide and added in some dancing before climbing back up the ladder to slide again. Alex and Ava ran by playing chase, so Ella O., Camille, Asha, and Bronwen decided to join in the game. The group was off and running, hiding from each other, then running some more! Ben had been waiting for the perfect time to join in with his friends. He walked around to see what each group was doing. The game of chase was just too much fun to pass up, so he jumped into the action and ran with all his might! Riley was also a very happy runner, and a quick one at that! She noticed Ava, Bronwen, and Camille had switched to playing a camping game, so she joined in.
More games were going on elsewhere in the yard. Bennett, Cole, Maddy, and Cameron made an amazing family of dragons. They were looking for a new home. After search far and wide, they found the perfect home to call their own. They would go there to rest between adventures and visits to other castles.
Dean, Vivian, and Rhys ran to bike path and hopped on bikes for some laps around the bike path. Cole joined in too and the bikes changed to spaceships. The astronauts proudly shared, “We are in a spaceship!” Once in awhile a spaceship would get stuck, but that was no problem! The astronauts helped each other out and got on the move again.
Ben, Alex, and Ella O. got creative with leaf rubbings today. They decided to experiment with painting the leaves to use as stamps. The eye droppers dripped fall colors for rain paintings as Bronwen joined in. Ben said to Ella O., “Hey! Look at my picture! Look at your picture!” Anthony grabbed a crayon and made a page full of beautiful circles! Asha painted at the big easel and Alex stood by, ready to clean it up when she was done. Next it was Riley’s turn at the big easel to make a masterpiece.
The sandbox was buzzing with Cameron, Maddy, Cole, and Bennett. They constructed an amazing castle using tubes and plenty of good muck. Camille and Bronwen were having a blast with pouring water into bottles, then dumping the water again and laughing up a storm. Alex spied a couple bottles to use and got busy using a funnel to pour colored water from one bottle to the next, and then back again.
