This morning began with an expedition for a shaker. Cameron was looking for one, but none could be found! The search moved to odds and ends to make our own shakers. First, we spied an empty water bottle, then some beads that looked just the right size to fit inside and bounce around. We also used scissors to cut pieces for our shakers.
After the shaker project, the friends found other interesting activities. Ella O. curled up with her favorite books for some reading. Rhys found the magnets and shapes and set to work. Emma and Riley were working together to care for the baby. Emma helped Riley put on a backpack to carry the baby, and they set off on a morning walk with Anthony. They walked right past two secret agents! Cameron and Cole were hiding very sneakily, and they were soon joined by Maddy. Vivian was at the writing center where she made a note for each of her teachers and delivered them with a smile. Bronwen created a detailed writing picture using the stickers and markers of all colors.
Out in front Ben made his way over to the rock wall for some climbing practice. Ava, Vivian, and Ella had no time for climbing; they were making a fort because “the storm is coming!” Maddy and Cameron were also very busy with being in college and living in a castle. Sadly, their castle was ruined, so they set to work building an amazing house instead! Riley, Rhys, and Anthony were taking turns dancing with Cecy. In between dancing turns, they would climb up the ladder or rock wall and slide down the slide as quickly as they could! Riley gave her friend Rhys a big hug and told him she loves him.
In the back, Collin, Cole, and Dean made a great team. Dean asked his friends if he could clean up when they were done painting. They agreed that would work very well! After painting and cleaning up, Cole and Dean jumped in the sandbox and got to working. Ella O. lent a hand and helped Collin clean up his painting. Painting on the deck was also a blast! Bronwen and Ben were using eyedroppers. They dripped and dropped dots of water color paint onto flour, saying, “Look! It’s raining!” Alex also joined in. Their finished rainbows looked lovely. Emma was next to them at the easel painting a picture for her Mom and Dad.
Ava and Ella were on the bike path making a coke! They picked out exactly the leaves they needed, sprinkled in a few handfuls of dirt, and topped it off with dainty pinches of sand. Maddy and Cameron also decided to get cooking. They made a tasty vegetable soup and cooked it until it was piping hot! After waiting patiently for the soup to cool, they served up their meal.
Have a fabulous evening!
