Today our school was full of song. Lucy serenaded all of us first thing and continued to belt out Bon Jovi lyrics throughout the day. While she sang she used the castle with Maddie. Lewis wasn’t sure what he wanted to settle in with- he explored the cars, the puzzles with Jack and ended up in the Art Room. We sang “Down Here in Portland” together and then it was time for breakfast.
As soon as we got outside everyone played hide-n-seek. The kindergartners took turns counting while everyone else hid. Next there was a map made and distributed; it was decided we would go on a bear hunt. The children searched high and low and in and out and finally found that bear… in the sandbox. Isabella was excited to show off her new hair cut and how fast she could go down the slide with shorter locks. Bennett, Oscar, Cy and Eliana were quick to climb the ladder and show off their super fast sliding abilities too.
In the back, Reed, Nerissa, Quinn, Maddie, Emmett and Bella used the crayon melt. We got new crayons and they make awesome melts!! Afterwards Emmett, Quinn, Reed and Nerissa took off their shoes and climbed into the sandbox with Lewis, Carson, Ariel and Eliana. Then Emmett, Carson, Nerissa and Eliana used the water buckets. And after that Nerissa and Ariel headed to the easels to do some painting. When the blue table was ready with paint and paper Emmett, Jack, Bennett, Carson, Cy, Quinn, Oscar, Ariel and Nerissa crowded around it to do more painting. Oscar was an excellent helper today.
Have a wonderful night!!
