This morning, Erica and Isabella worked in the art room; the girls colored brilliant pictures with crayons and painted over them with water color. Cameron arrived and headed straight for the writing center while Cooper spun the dreidels and pieced together puzzles. Bennett built ships and towers out of Legos while Isabella and Erica abandoned the art room to hang out in the tipi. Cooper later joined the two girls. Collin arrived, headed for the sand bucket and invited Bennett and Cameron to join him. While the boys poured and sifted through the red sand, Keira morphed into a kitty. Ariel and Hadley were busily cutting paper while they chatted about what they were going to play outside.
Out front, Ariel, Hadley and Erica collected leaves together. After the girls’ hands couldn’t hold any more leaves, the trio headed up the play structure to lay out their leaves and become kitties. Cooper later joined the girls and became the Mommy kitty. Isabella and Cam climbed the rock wall and made good use of the slide while Keira and Rock chased one another around the bike path. Collin informed his friends that he was a zombie pirate before he headed to the bike path to cruise around on the scooter. Ariel, Oscar, Zach and Erica followed suit and hopped on the remaining bikes. Bennett hung out with his teachers; he was their dog. Isabel and Bella were super cheetahs. The two girls invited Cooper to join them; he readily accepted their invitation and raced to the bike path with them.
In the back, Oscar, Keira, Bennett, Hadley, Zach, Rock, Ariel and Cam busily painted while Isabella and Erica hot glued. Isabel worked solo in the sand box until Collin hopped in to help her. Cooper and Oscar painted and washed the easel.
After a while, the kids decided it best that we head inside to play both upstairs and downstairs.
