When Rock arrived he sat at the writing center to make a card for some friends. Chloe sat with Rock; she was working on an elephant. As she drew she shared with Rock that she was a dog and her elephant was no ordinary elephant- it was a stuffy elephant. Nerissa showed off her henna tattoo and then proceeded to draw with makers on paper… and then on herself. Cole helped us to feed the fish and then he assembled legos. As he constructed he sang a Spiderman song he made up. When Cole was done with legos he made his way to the kitchen to cook and take care of the babies. With all of the legos free Cam and Bennett were able to use them to make a big, tall building. Meanwhile, Kaito and Aiden molded our play dough into cookies and pizza. Yum! After a while, Nerissa and Rock abandoned the writing center to fabricate an airport out of blocks for Kaito and Aiden to use.
As soon as we got outside, Reed and Nerissa transformed into racecars and Chloe a doctor. Maddy and Ruby were Chloe’s first two patients while Cam and Bennett ran for the trikes. Quickly the children were drawn to the back so we headed back there as a group and got down to business. Chloe, Cole, Maddy, Aiden, Reed, Gabby, Ruby and Zack piled into the sandbox- barefoot! While in the sandbox, Chloe made a cake and Ruby and Gabby worked on cakes and cupcakes. Bennett and Cam quickly took of their shoes and joined their friends in the sandbox. The boys immediately set to work digging holes for muck. Reed and Zach worked on a very secret project. Anthony, Benny, Kaito and Cam stood around the blue table water pouring. Nerissa joined the foursome at the table to pour water when she was done with her hot glue project. After some time, Rock, Oscar and Nerissa requested paper, glue, glitter, feather and many other things. With the materials in had the trio hand crafted work of arts. When Cole was done in the sandbox he too glued a fancy project.
