Cameron and Cooper worked with the beans first thing this morning while Chloe, Reed and Bella helped Anke make special water bottles. We added water, oil, glitter and watercolor to the bottle. The children were amazed that the oil stayed separate, saying “Look, Anke, it’s up at the top!” Afterwards, Chloe busily built a mansion for both Tiggers and Pluto too. Rachel sat at the writing center making money for the fruit and flower stand while Bella set up the fruit and flower stand for the day. Cam and Bennett used play dough saying in unison, “Tami will love this pizza.” Tami overheard and quickly rushed over to sample the pizza. When that was gobbled up the boys hand crafted birthday cakes with sprinkles and candles for Tami as well. Reed requested Anke fashion him a cape. Once that was taken care of Reed began shopping for flowers and fruits. Oscar worked the register as Cooper watered the flowers. Cooper also watered Oscar- to all of their amusement. When it was time to prepare for breakfast Oscar and Cooper both helped. As they set the items on the table the boys talked about the movie How to Train your Dragon and both boys agreed “It was awesome!”
Outside, Chloe and Maddy became bears while Cooper, Collin and Oscar were hyenas. The hyenas made their way to the top of the tower and became pirates. Bella and Rachel were silly people who made the bottom of the play structure their home. As Reed passed by , the silly people were quick to invite him in. Rock, Zach and Aiden zoomed around the bike path. Meanwhile, Nerissa, Ariel and Hadley practiced their balance on the balls. The girls perfected their back flips (balancing on their hands with their bellies on the ball and their feet in the air.) Bennett and Cam huddled together in the black tube.
As we headed to the back Cooper climbed into the sanbox proclaiming, “Let’s make some muck!” Reed, Aiden, Bennett and Cam were right behind Cooper and excitedly began making muck. Chloe and Maddy painted and washed the easel and then headed over to the water tubs. Bella, Hadley, Rachel, Nerissa, Oscar, Zach, Rock, Collin and Ariel crowded around the big blue table to paint with watercolors and droppers. When their paintings were completed Bella, Rachel and Collin headed over to the hot glue station and Cooper, Oscar, Ariel and Hadley got busy at the water buckets.
