This morning dad (Cam) and mom (Nerissa) put on a birthday party for Daphne! Anke was a special guest. While Cam prepared and baked the cake (with sprinkles of course!), Nerissa obtained the plates and cheese pizza. As the party progressed Nerissa put the candles on the cake. Everyone sang. Nerissa removed the candles and served the cake.
After the party, Cam flew the rocket ship to work with Lewis. On his way Cam shared, “Be back in a few minutes.” Anthony arrived and fed the fish then he got busy at the writing center. When Cole got here he headed straight for the chalk in the art room. Meanwhile, Ruby constructed with hangers while Oscar, Eliana and Nerissa pieced together puzzles.
Outside, Nerissa, Eliana and Ruby documented stories from friends. Ruby patiently waited at the bottom of the slide and when Cole, Anthony, Chloe and Daphne slid down they each told a story to Ruby. Rock acted as our emergency guy today and spent his time in the ambulance on the bike path. Oscar filled gas tanks for those in need. Nate, on a speedy motorcycle, was our police guy. Lewis drove his work truck, with journalists Nerissa and Eliana as passengers. Reed and Zach spent some time catching rays at the beach while Cam and Maddy made and sold ice cream.
In the back, Oscar, Nerissa and Eliana painted with spatulas while Lewis and Rock worked at the hot glue station. Daphne, Ruby, Maddy, Anthony and Chloe stood around the water tubs- pouring and splashing while Cole was in the sandbox. Cam, Reed and Zach continued their time at the beach- soaking up the sun. After a little while, Reed, Zach, Oscar and Cam met up in the sandbox to make a soda machine.
