Journal 3-6-13

This morning Nerissa, Chloe and Rowan whipped up all kinds of paper swords. With that task completed the trio began painting in the art room. When Anthony arrived he took a seat at the writing center and got busy. After that he did some dancing.   We read stories and ate breakfast together.  Then to get ready to go outside we sang “The Ants Go Marching.” We then marched outside to enjoy the wet Oregon weather.

Back inside and downstairs Anthony practiced climbing up and down the ladder to the loft. From time to time he’d stop to announce, “Tata!” Ruby set up a track and drove trains while Gabby and Daphne made soup for their babies. When Ruby was done with the trains she joined Gabby and Daphne. It was decided that Ruby would take a ride on George the giraffe. Gabby bid her adieu stating, “Goodbye.  See you tonight!” To that Ruby replied, “Adios.” Gabby and Daphne responded, almost in unison, “Adios!” Meanwhile, Nerissa and Chloe set up the coves and ramps to make a long track for the balls and Rock built a castle out of legos while Collin read Down by the Station ensuring to show his friends each picture.

Upstairs, Seren and Mila made pictures for their family at the writing center after making a cake out of play dough. Nate took care of his pet bunny. Maddy and Rowan built garages, houses and rocket ships with the magnetic shapes for the cars and airplanes. Ella worked at the writing center making a picture for her mommy. Oscar and Reed sat across from Ella busily drawing. After that the pair utilized a few swords and then began hot gluing.

Have a great night!
