Ruby arrived in good spirits this morning as she joined Cy at the table to make necklaces. Cooper diligently worked on his sword while Erica and Chloe got down and dirty in the art room. Hadley arrived and began working with the magnetic shapes alongside Cameron who was making a birthday cake out of pegs. Bennett walked in and didn’t hesitate to ask Anke if she would read a book to him.
Outside, Cooper was a raptor dino. Noticing how much fun Cooper was having chasing his friends as a dinosaur; Cy eventually joined Cooper as a raptor. Reed informed his friends and teachers that he was a two-headed fire-breathing baby dragon. Collin asked Katie to watch how speedy he ran with his shoes and with that Cooper challenged him to a race. The boys took off down the yard and around the bike path. Hadley invited Ruby to join her as a lady bug on the bike path while Cameron took over the play structure and claimed it as his pirate ship. Maddy and Chloe were dragons in search of their missing puppy and “the kid named Boo.” Eliana, Nerissa, Mila and Erica asked for a towel and used it as a tote to transfer bark chips from the ground to the house. Rock was a Power Ranger before he turned into Crack-Thunder-Lightening-Cheetah.
Once we were back indoors Reed, Nerissa, Cy and Eliana head to the art room. The children began painting paper until someone had the excellent idea to paint each other. Before anyone knew it, the four of them were green and shiny from head to toe. Hadley and Ruby worked with the play dough while Cam and Bennett tended to the kitchen. After a bit, Mila, Eliana, Chloe, Maddy and Erica were all welcomed into the kitchen by the two boys who had prepared a feast. Cooper practiced writing his name at the writing center while Rock hot glued in the art room. Collin made an extravagant garage out of magnetic shapes for his cars.
