Journal 4-27-12

Lewis and Isabella were the first two friends to arrive this morning. The duo discussed building a ramp for the cars but weren’t quite sure how they were going to do it. Lewis lit up, grabbed the magnetic shapes off the shelf and suggested he and Bella utilize the magnets. While the pair worked on their ramps, Nerissa poured beans and Chloe worked in the art room where shaving cream and paint were set up. Rachel arrived and headed straight for the writing center.

Outside, Ruby used the slide while Ariel, Seren, Nerissa, Mila and Bella walked around with journals and notepads asking their friends and teachers, “How does your story start?” Aiden, Rock, Lewis, Zach and Cooper lined up along the fence and intently watched the construction on Sandy.

In the back, Seren, Ariel, Ruby, Mila, Rachel, Aiden, Rock, Nerissa, Chloe and Maddy raced to the deck to paint with watercolors.  After Chloe and Maddy finished up, the girls headed down the stairs to paint the easels.  Nerissa, Rachel, Bella and Seren played in water buckets with shaving cream while Ruby and Rock hot glued. Rock created chitty chitty bang bang before starting on a lunch box that he was making for his dad. Even though it was a lunch box designed for his dad, he made a special compartment for nuts for his mom. Rock’s mom loves nuts. Ruby did not feel like disclosing what she was working on. However, she did inform us that her “hot gooing” creation was a gift for her parents. Aiden, Seren, Ariel and Mila worked in the sandbox while Cooper, Lewis and Zach watched them from the window in the playhouse.

Have a great weekend!!
