Journal 2-14-12

Happy Valentine’s Day!  This morning Chloe, Collin and Bennett busily worked in the art room with red hearts, feathers, flower petals, glitter, confetti, and glue.  When Bennett and Chloe were through they joined Cam with the cars.  Bella sat at the writing center creating things for our post office.  Erica used the magnets.

We sang “Morning has Come,” ate breakfast and headed outside to the wonderful Oregon rain.  Collin was on the lookout for dinos.  Rachel was a big sister to Isabella’s little sister.  Erica carried around the blue ball and then traded it for the first aid kit.  Zach and Reed were lightening cheetahs.  Cam was a monster truck while Bennett was a bulldozer- the boys had great sound effects!  Ariel, Nerissa and Hadley set up a home in the bottom of the play structure.  Chloe and Maddy were each the big, bad wolf in seek of little pigs.  Rock was a pig- a guinea pig- so he was safe from the wolves.

In the back, everyone had a chance to help us decorate our Post Office Box, then the children went their separate ways.  Zach, Cam, Chloe and Maddy were all in the sandbox- making mud pies among other things.  Collin and Bennett painted the easels and then spent some time riding bikes around the bike path.

Inside, Nerissa, Hadley, Ariel and Erica danced to the Beach Boys in beautiful dresses.  Afterwards they headed into the house to tend to the babies.  Rock, Oscar and Reed used the hot glue station where Rock designed an airplane.  Bella and Rachel worked at the writing center.

Have a great night!
