Journal January 30 2014

When the children arrived this morning they noticed that some changes had been made. Anke made a line down the carpet with some blue tape and Anthony, Riley, Asha and Dean worked on balancing as they walked across the line putting on foot in front of the other. This lasted a short while until they decided to explore other areas in the school. Dean and Asha retreated to the dramatic play area. Dean was a firefighter while Asha drove the fire truck. Braeden arrived and joined the two firefighters for awhile before deciding to play with the cars. Over at the table, Riley was working awfully hard on the shape puzzle. Camille arrived a short while later and went over to take care of the babies.

After eating breakfast, the group bundled up and went outside for some exciting adventures. Up in the tower, Ava the Ballerina had a brilliant idea. She would give ballerina lessons to her friends. She danced and twirled as she waited for her students to arrive. Down below, Camille, Ben, Bronwen and Turner played games with the hoola hoops while Anthony rolled a tennis ball up and down the slide. Maddy and Vivian joined the gang at the hoola hoops and quickly began to build a house using the hoola hoops, tires and towels. Ava walked by and pitched in to help but only after first showing the girls the proper way to use the hoops. Over on the bike path Ben, Alex, Bronwen and Riley were racing around the path on their bikes. Braeden was close behind on the trailer bike stopping every so often to offer friends a ride.

Around back, the children were busy creating art projects and playing in the sandbox. In the sandbox Maddy, Vivian, Dean, Ben and Braeden were all busy digging and working to build marvelous sand castles. Dean was a firefighter while he worked. On the deck Anthony, Alex, Bronwen and Camille used paints and dog toys to create beautiful masterpieces on the easels. When they finished their creations, Riley and Asha helped Anke and Cecy clean the easels before heading inside for lunch.
